Dr. Karl G. Hellman
President / CEO
Karl is a new breed of consultant, speaker, and writer, combining fascinating “real life” marketing stories with timeless principles of marketing.
Karl founded Resultrek, a global management consulting firm dedicated to creating great marketers and sellers. In his practice he incorporates the principles and best practices outlined in The Customer Learning Curve, his dissertation, and other writings to help marketers collaborate with sales, operations, and customers to create and capture value.
Karl’s clients include international best-in-class companies such as JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, UPS, and Coca Cola.
Karl earned his M.S. in Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He earned his Doctorate in Business Administration from Georgia State University, where his dissertation topic was “Optimizing Investment in Different Levels of Key Account Relationships.”

Prior to founding Mark Blessington Consulting, Mark was a consultant at Sibson Consulting. He was a board member and sales effectiveness practice leader for most of his 17 years there. Some notable accomplishments include:

Polly Hyatt
Senior Consultant
Polly Hyatt serves as a project manager, consultant, writer, and trainer for the Product and Marketing Training practice area.
Polly began her association with Karl in the early 1990s, and helped develop and beta test the original product marketing training programs we offered to NYNEX, Pacific Bell, and other regional Bell operating companies after the AT&T/Bell divestiture. Her expertise in curriculum development, coaching, and classroom facilitation played a key role in projects with BellSouth, Georgia Power, Southern Company, Sanofi Aventis, and PNC Bank.
Polly combines the “make it happen” energy of the best product managers, the analytical problem solving of a great strategic marketer, and the clear, powerful communication of a brilliant writer. In addition to her work on Resultrek projects, Polly has authored and edited business case studies and ghost written sections of Karl’s books. She has also written white papers and articles for several online journals.
Polly is a graduate of the University of Alabama and Georgia State University. She holds an MA on English and an MBA in marketing and is an ACB/ALB with Toastmasters International.

Matthew Hellman
Global Management Consultant
With experience in both the public and private sector, Matthew specializes specifically in developing and applying creative strategies, practices, and technologies for more effective international marketing operations as well as strategic expansion of business opportunities in emerging economies (including experience working in Dubai, Rwanda, Singapore, Australia, China, etc.).
Prior to public service, Matthew worked for several private companies creating various marketing campaigns that have resulted in significant percentage increase in sales, while also managing a sales team that was generating ~$5.2 million annually.
Fluent in Mandarin, Matthew holds a B.A. in international affairs, economics, and Asian studies from The Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University, and an MBA from The George Washington University School of Business where he concentrated in international marketing and business, as well as global business strategy.

Catherine Trever-Roberts
Management Consultant
As a management consultant at Resultrek, Catherine supports senior consultants in research, training development, coaching, project management, and client relations. Her expertise includes interpersonal and intercultural communication, facilitation, staff development, case management, coaching, project management, event, and conference planning.
Catherine’s global experience expands Europe and Asia, including doing a conflict analysis in China for her master’s thesis. She holds a BA in Sociology and a BA in Environmental Studies from Principia College, as well as a MA in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management from the School for International Training Graduate Institute.

Chris Hellman
Interaction Designer
